OHIO EPA MICROBIOLOGICAL WATER TESTING COURSE

PREREQUISITES

 All personnel performing analyses of public drinking water in a certified laboratory must be certified by the State of Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA). The Microbiological Water Testing Course is the only course offered by the Ohio EPA for those seeking training for bacteriological examination of drinking water in accordance to the methodologies approved by Ohio EPA. Colilert 18 has been added to the MMO-MUG course.

 This is a hands-on training course. Students should have basic laboratory skills. Although the course is designed for those needing training for certification, enrollment is open to anyone who desires this type of training. Class size is limited and OTCO and OEPA reserve the right to give preference to those required to attend the training course for certification requirements.

 A total of 10 contact hours will be given for the MMO-MUG/Colilert 18 class. A total of 15 contact hours will be given for the MMO-MUG/Colilert 18 & Membrane Filter class. A “Certificate of Completion” will be sent to each student who successfully completes the course. Contact hours from this training event will be included in the attendee’s official transcript page, located at:   http://www.otco.org  To access this information, have your OTCO Student ID and PIN Number available.
